Bits and pieces… Posted by: Robert Wilson
Thought I’d throw a few of my favourite bits on here from the past year..
The majority is just experimentation, trying to teach myself how to use cs4 (nobody else is gonna!) so just playing about trying to see what works while gaining new skills. There’s more stuff on my flick which you can find HERE…

Tribute poster for wrestler Mick “Hardcore Legend” Foleyand his trademark missing teeth. Foley is a legend without doubt. A remix with barbed bat, tartan shirt and shaggy dog hair may be in progress.

Typographic illustration “Pump up the Lolume”. Experimenting with extremely contrasting line weight and graffiti influenced letter styles.

Flyer I designed for the heroes and villains night at cavans.

Typographic illustration “Watch this space”. Decorative type using negative space.

This one’s goin out to Bren who we had for a unit focusing on advertising. Some of the many usefull words of advice coming from the Brenmeister!

Hand rendered type for the foley poster.

“Oh Danny boy the pipes the pipes!” Typographic Illustration trying out some pipe brushes I made in illustrator. Really liked the way this one came out.

Experimental type using nesquik.

Nose Bleed. Illustration inspired by old skateboard graphics, again experimenting with mixed media, vector, textures and photographs.

Robert Wilson logo and type treatment. This was the alternate logo I designed for myself a while back (Chosen logo used for page header). I decided against it as I wasn’t happy with the balance of the two words and felt it was too complicated.
