Sky project.. Posted by: Robert Wilson
Recently completed a project for Sky One’s Must Be The Music in which I was asked to design logo’s for three of the finalists. These are a selection of the chosen logos and rejected proposals.
Unfortunately these logos were rejected as Legion of Many had existing branding which they chose to keep.
Logo Chosen by Toxic Funk Berry.
*Although this was the logo chosen by the band, it was edited by sky’s in house design team to the band’s further specifications. I would like to point out that I am in no way responsible for the strange 3d effect seen on the final outcome (see here).
I feel this was a disappointing design decision, which I unfortunately had no control over.
Win some, lose some.
Rejected logo proposals.

FontSmith.. Posted by: Robert Wilson
Just got back from my first day’s work experience at Font Smith. Had a really good day wrestling with my typeface in fontlab, learning some new tricks, and getting some great advice from someone who can actually answer my questions! (cheers Phil..) Still early days yet but trying to refine the curves as much as possible, concentrating on functionality and easily recognisable forms rather than just style. Already looking forward to tomorrow…

Just like to say a big thanks to Leigh Flurry, Seb Lester, Johnathan Hill and everyone at fontsmith type foundry for answering my emails and giving me the time of day!
My Design analysis would have been a complete disaster without you!
Cheers!
